A Revolutionary-era clock chimes out the time always differently, always wrong, as his visit unfolds in increasingly comical and disturbing events. Jay confronts his father Ben, a CEO of an oil company under fire for accounting fraud, with crimes that exceed the financial. Their mother Greta, cultural patroness extraordinaire, drifts from ferocious competence toward rapturous hallucination, passionately holding forth on the humanizing power of art. January.28th,2007 - "Crossed Wires"

Written by Sarah Hurst

Directed by John Thurner

Crossed Wires is based on the true story of the playwright’s three-month internet love affair that brought her to Alaska, and the script incorporates real emails from that correspondence. In the play, Kate, a British journalist working in Beijing, gets to know Luke, an engineer from Anchorage with four kids, a dog and Tourette’s Syndrome. Kate is under pressure to hurry up and find an honest man because of a family curse that causes her to be haunted by an irritable ghostly rabbi. But she is also distracted by the strange behavior of her Chinese friend Shanshan. Luke’s strong-willed daughter Lorraine pulls him away from the relationship with Kate, and his autistic son is a bit of a handful. Separated by the Pacific Ocean, communicating via the internet causes some misunderstandings between Luke and Kate, especially when Luke’s uninhibited sense of humor and bursts of anger are involved. Can two such different people with contrasting lives really form a bond that will mean something if and when they meet in person? Or are there just too many crossed wires?

Starring:  Alison Gayle, Paul Pierro, Anita Vigilante, and Christine Lin
